The idea of providing a totally free online platform for carbon offsets came up when we both faced in our studies and jobs the realities of carbon offset markets. We have been struck by the unefficiency of the system that let room to speculation more than effective CO2 emission reduction. We find it unfair that big businesses that are already profitable can get extra financing through carbon offsets, whereas small green projects that live only on donations and carbon financing struggle to survive.
